 THE BIG DAY - O GRANDE DIA

that Ana Isabel always told us about. | que a menina Ana Isabel sempre nos falou sobre. 

and it was awesome. much better than what I taught it would be. | e foi genial. muito melhor do que eu achava que ia ser. 

on Sunday, we had the famous Feijoada, an event organized by the Partners of the Americas every year to celebrate our goals and to divulge our projects and ideas. This year, it happened at Butler University, in Indianapolis, and there was for about 200 people there. | no domingo, a gente teve a Feijoada, um evento organizado pelos Companheiros das Americas todo ano pra celebrar nossas conquests e pra divulgar nossos projetos e ideias. nesse ano aconteceu na Butler University, em Indianapolis, e foram mais ou menus 200 pessoas. 

I got there with Litieli, as long as I stayed on her house in the night before, and there was a few people there. we arrived at for about 11:00 and until that moment, there was no signal of Portuguese or people from Brasil. the fisrt person that talked to me, actually, was from Korea (???). we sat down to try to connect wi-fi - as usual - and suddenly, a sympathetic woman appeared and asked us: "ARE YOU BRAZILIAN?". I don't remember the last time that I was that happy and surprised, at the same time. That woman was Paula, our Brazilian Chief, that was commanding everybody at the kitchen to provide us a traditional Brazilian meal. | cheguei la' com a Litieli, ja' que eu dormi na casa dela na note anterior, e tinha poucas pessoas la'. chegamos mais ou menos 'as 11h e, ate' aquele momento, hem sinal de portugues ou pessoas do Brasil. a primeira pessoa que falou comigo, por sinal, era da Korea (???). a gente sentou pra tentar conectar a wi-fi - como sempre - e, de repente, uma simpatica mulher apareceu e nos perguntou: "VOCES SAO BRASILEIRAS?". nao lembro da ultima vez que fiquei tao feliz e surpresa, ao mesmo tempo. essa mulher era a Paula, nossa Chef Brasileira, que tava comandando o pessoal na cozinha pra nos providenciar uma verdadeira refeicao a brasileira. 

a lot of people talked and it just made us get more and more nervous. our presentation - the same one that we presented during the Christmas Dinner, still in Brasil, would be the last part, but all went fine. I'm still trying to find the video. I'll post it here when I find it! | muita gente falou e isso só serviu pra nos deixar mais nervoso. nossa apresentação - a mesma que a gente apresentou na Janta de Natal, ainda no Brasil, seria a última parte, mas deu tudo certo. ainda estou tentando encontrar o vídeo. vou postar assim que eu achar!
